One of the biggest advantages of a small enterprise like mine is that I have a great degree of flexibility to accommodate the individual wishes of my customers. For me, having an understanding of the content of the book in question is no less important that the technical part of a graphic design job. This means a deeper understanding of the given project and results in books where content and form are in harmonious unity.
I have more than 15 years of experience in working with publications and top-name publishing houses and printers, for example, Princeton University Press, Ashgate Publishing (now part of Taylor & Francis Group), Routledge, Museum Tusculanum Press, and De Gruyter Publishing. I serve a wide clientele around the world.
With a PhD in German Literature from the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and with a post-graduate Journalism Degree from the Danish School of Journalism, I have a broad background in communication, graphic design, and journalistic and academic writing. I also have extensive academic experience in the fields of history, literature and languages.
I have also published five books, numerous articles and translations and am the coeditor of several scholarly anthologies.
This unique combination of qualifications in the humanities and experience in book production means that I can work with you to create beautiful books that are both academically appropriate and aesthetically pleasing. I know from first-hand experience how important it is that the outward appearance of a book is in harmony with its content.
